Gathering Grounds Coffeehouse is located in Historic Kirkwood in Atlanta, GA. The shop features specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, frappes, breakfast foods, specialty desserts, and ice cream!
Gathering Grounds was originally named by its previous owners, and continues to operate under the same name under the leadership of its new owner, Roderick Smith.
Gathering Grounds is the only coffeehouse in the Kirkwood Square, and it is the popular morning stop for a large percentage of Kirkwood's residents. When visiting, one can quickly find something unique about the shop. Much of the decor is created by local artists and craftsman..from the light fixtures to the coffee mugs!

| Gathering Grounds Coffeehouse serves Batdorf & Bronson Coffee. It delivers quality whole beans and specialty coffee drinks to its customers. Free WiFi is a feature of the coffeeshop, allowing area residents and local business owners to enjoy coffee, desserts and snacks, while surfing the web or working online.
The shop features live music and poetry/spoken-word several evenings per week. Open-mic series allow for individuals to have a platform to display their talents. These series include "Soul-Gathering", "Sanctifunky" ..both hosted by Daniel Osbie, "PoeticSoul Lounge (Teen Poetry Slam and Open-Mic), and starting in a July, another variety show and open-mic hosted by Atlanta's own LadyVee.DaPoet!
The unique design of the shop provides warm acoustics which make music performances extremely enjoyable. In the fall, the shop offers story-time for neighborhood children and their parents. And Thursday nights bring friends out to participate in game night and cashflow/networking events.
